Continuing with the dialogue, the person asked that his Duas should be accepted in the court of Allah. Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه و سلم replied that he should abstain from Haraam things and Haraam talks.
Many times people are particular about what they eat but not particular about what they say.
– Sometimes a person makes dua and he gets very despondent that his duas are not being accepted, but he is not giving up certain sins.
– Sometimes a person is doing everything correctly, but Allah is testing him.
– A condition befalls a person either to wipe out his sins, a mercy in disguise or an azhaab. If it is an azhaab the person goes further away from Allah Ta’ala and if it is a mercy the person gets closer to Allah Ta’ala.
– We cannot chose the test Allah puts us through.
